A familiar face in a new role
If our new Patient Services Advisor looks familiar it's because she is Stamford born and bred and has worked for years in customer facing roles, notably at 'good old Woolies.'
Jayne Dixon said: 'I chose to work for Lakeside because I wanted to make a difference. We have one surgery in Stamford where all members of the team; from doctors, nurses, admin and reception staff work so very hard to help people. I am very proud to be a team member. They are totally amazing people. Everyone has made me feel very welcome- it's the best work family ever!'
She has been learning the ropes since joining Sheepmarket Surgery two months ago: 'I love talking to our patients and helping them. I have had many customer facing roles over the years including working at Woolworths for 34 years, then Thomas Cook and finally Buckles solicitors and although I enjoyed them all, this is my first job in Primary Care and I wish I had looked at this profession years ago. As I am a true Stamfordian I am a great advocate for our beautiful town and just for the record, I am loving my job!'
