Annual surveys are sent to a random selection of patients. This year's result is based on returns from 112 patients. 76% rated their overall experience as good and consistently high marks were given for the care and treatment received with at least nine out of ten saying the care they received was good, their needs were met and the healthcare professional was good at giving them enough time.
Practice Manager Tracey Mason said: 'The National GP Survey contains important data which we will be reviewing carefully. We conducted our own patient survey earlier this year and have already acted on comments from the handful who took part.
'We organise extra staffing at times of high call demand and data shows that we have the shortest average wait time of all the Lakeside practices. We have a maximum queue length of 20 and aim to deal with all calls in a timely manner.
'Recently we have offered extra same day appointments that can be booked online via the NHS App and are looking at changing the 'hold' music on the telephone line in response to comments. The team came in for some lovely praise, so we'd like to thank patients for taking the time to comment, whichever survey they were involved in. We are also grateful for the support of our Patient group.'
