Dr Grace Dolan has become a Partner at the Hereward Practice, the only surgery she has worked at since qualifying more than two years ago.

She was there during her final GP training year and liked it so much that she stayed on as a salaried GP. Becoming a partner means she will take a more active role in the management and direction of the Practice, along with the other Partners, Dr Taylor, Dr Ashley-Norman, Dr Yasin Ali and Dr Moyo.

Dr Dolan said:  

'Although I trained at other GP practices I wanted to work here as it is really a nice team of people, everyone is super approachable, so it was a really good fit. We have had quite a lot of change over the past couple of years really due to GPs retiring so I felt strongly that our generation of GPs coming through needs to step up and take a role in Partnership. It was a good opportunity and, as I want to stay here long term, it made sense.'

Dr Dolan has special interests in women's health, paediatrics and she took over as Palliative Lead in the practice six months ago:

'It is something I have always been interested in and it is one of the most important things to get right in the patient journey is to make sure that the last few weeks, months or years are dignified. It is really important for the patient and their family and so I have always been keen to take an active role in that.'
