She has a background in patient facing roles but moving to healthcare has given her even more job satisfaction as she helps patients each day , working both on reception and doing call handling as well as associated office duties.
She said: 'Working in Primary Care is new for me and I love working in the surgery. It is very friendly and everyone is really welcoming. When I started I didn't realise how much it entailed but because of that I love it even more. As part of my training I was given 'the receptionists' bible' with all the information that I needed and the other team members are really helpful and happy to give support, particularly when you are learning the ropes.
'Being part of the reception team is about having a positive interaction with patients, being kind and trying our best to help. All we are trying to do as a practice is to help people and, generally, the patients are lovely and really responsive.'
