Corby team supports The Great Big Green Week

Colleagues at Lakeside Healthcare at Corby made a variety of pledges to support The Great Big Green Week.

They resolved to turn electrical appliances off, go vegetarian or vegan and conserve water, as part of the national initiative, which took place from 24 September to 2 October.

Staff were given ideas as to how they could participate and they put their pledges on a board so everyone could see how they were contributing. In addition, the team organised a litter pick outside the surgery and they also had a vegan Bake Off. There were also books that people could browse on adopting a simpler, more eco-friendly lifestyle.

The practice's eco-team (including Dr Rosaline West and social prescriber Shannon Calderwood, pictured) encouraged their colleagues to take part in the Great Big Green Week and they were delighted that so many colleagues got on board.
