Kerrie, who has been working at the Hereward Practice for just over three months, said: 'As an HCA I do bloods, ECGs and am going on a course to do wound care. I work with everyone and the whole team is brilliant and help each other out.
'I have been an HCA for six or seven years. I like the interaction and, as a HCA you do get more hands-on. It is about building a rapport with patients, they get to know who you are, especially the regular ones so it is different to hospital nursing. My favourite part of the job is taking blood, I really enjoy that and I will take every opportunity I can to help out and learn.
