Lyndsay initially joined Sheepmarket in 2016 as an administrator. She has worked in administrative and management roles both in the practice and Lakeside's Central support team before being seconded back to Lakeside Stamford to give additional support during the pandemic.
Since then, she became Patient Services Manager before stepping into her new role, which is another vital part of the close-knit management team.
Lyndsay said: 'My remit is to make sure we are compliant with all aspects of the regulatory procedures, including mandatory staff training, health and safety and the day-to-day operational running of the sites.
'I am organised and like all the boxes ticked to make sure everything is being completed in a timely fashion to meet deadlines. It is very important that the surgery is compliant with areas of health and safety such as legionella, fire safety, PAT testing, and making sure that patient and staff safety is at the forefront of the delivery of work.
'We are recruiting additional staff to increase our workforce and have staff that left to pursue their careers elsewhere but are wanting to return to be part of the change at Lakeside Stamford, which is very positive for the team. The whole team work really hard and are making headway with the challenges that have been posed to them through the Covid-19 pandemic and the recent CQC inspections.
'The telephone system is a work in progress and we thank our patients for their feedback as we rely on their feedback to investigate faults. We have up to 14 receptionists answering calls at peak times and are constantly looking at how to improve things further. We still have a way to go but there is a huge amount of effort going on behind the scenes, so it is about trying to keep everyone positive and looking forward.'
