Newest members of our Research Team

Amy Simpson and Victoria Brumby are relatively new members of the Lakeside Research Team and are enjoying their roles as Clinical Research Assistants.

Amy started in March while Victoria joined in July. Both have completed bioscience degrees and have previous experience working in laboratories.

Victoria, who studied for a Master's in Advanced Biomedical Science while working as a dispenser, said: 'At university we conducted a clinical trial for our dissertation project and I found writing articles and comparing the data very interesting. I specifically wanted to join Lakeside Research and feel like a valued member of the team. Everybody is very helpful and every resource is provided.'

Amy said: 'It is quite a varied role, with administrative work and we prepare for study visits and keep our workflow trackers up to date. We have also recently started to be trained to do some of the more basic clinical procedures so we can assist the nurses if necessary. Everyone has been really helpful and supportive. It can be busy and hard work but I like to do something that helps people and that I believe in.'
